A self-taught furniture maker, Daniel Mack uses natural and recycled materials and simple construction methods. He describes his chairs as “the transcript of a conversation between a person and a tree. Both the chair maker and the tree are recognizable in the final result.” The ambiguity and delicacy of his work often produce an unsettling effect.
