In the latter half of the nineteenth century, furniture made entirely from horn became popular in Germany, Bohemia, Austria, and America. Wenzel Friedrich created this armchair structure from a rigid, non moldable element. The horn curves guide the composition, and, by interweaving them, Friedrich transformed them into a functional interlace.
